Hui (Annie) Kung

Annie Hui Kung is a Registered Acupuncturist (R.Ac.), Herbalist and Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioner (R.TCM.P.). She was born in Taiwan, moved to Victoria with her family in 1998. Being a bilingual benefits Annie in her TCM career as many original Chinese Medicine classics are in Chinese, yet speaking fluent English helps her to translate and interrupt the ancient wisdom to her patients in her daily practice. Annie comes from a family with medical backgrounds such as a surgeon, an orthopaedic doctor, nurse, physiotherapist, reflexologist and TCM practitioners.

Annie emphasizes on “Yang” energy in most of her practice. “Yang” is the Sun; it is the driving life-force of all living beings on the planet. Even the Moon’s brightness comes from the Sun; nothing can survive without it. This is the same with our bodies! Annie has treated many cases successfully through focusing on nourishing the “Yang – the warmth sunshine energy”, such as pain/aches, arthritis, insomnia, mental illness, allergy, obesity, digestive disorders, infertility, menstrual issues and even some ulcers.

Annie provides a detailed consultation based on different health concerns, and she combines acupuncture treatments with Traditional Chinese Medicine. Annie also likes to encourage her patients to “take the healing home” with guidance and adjustments to the patients’ diet, lifestyle and metal state –since all are direct influences to one's health and longevity. Her goal is to help people regain health and happiness. She finds TCM very rewarding as she sees more and more people receiving benefits from it. Her mission is to spread this wisdom of TCM and educate people on how to find balance in their lives. This is a lifelong lesson!
